Hi does anyone know what happens when your married and change your tax code,Does the amount of tax you pay go down,or does it stay the same.

Married persons allowance went out the window years ago (still in place for old folk born before APR 1935).

Looks to me that married couples allowance now scrapped and that only some older people have qualified for this tax relief, though I may have read it incorrectly
