Hi, I am looking for a photograph of the `No to Polaris' paint/graffiti that used to be on Cammell Lairds shipyard wall. Anyone know anyone or where I might get a photo of this?
Thanks for notes about other painting/slogans elsewhere but it was Deffo the wall at Cammell Lairds is the one that i am after. I felt it was there for years?
Sorry no photo, newspaper clip from Feb 25th 1967, just an idea if its that important, have a look at the Birkenhead News they have at Wirral archives around that time.
God help us, Come yourself, Don't send Jesus, This is no place for children.
I think 'CRUISE OUT' was painted on the wall in Chester Street, underneath the (now demolished) railway bridge. Is this the same one you were thinking of? It wasn't long before the words 'Fly Back' were appended, in a parady of a travel agents advertising slogan.
