hi all,
really hoping some of you tech guru's will be able to help me.
bought a laptop on saturday from cash converters in b'head.
it has a program installed called - netintelligence. the program in question wont let me log into Tombola ( bingo website ) or even let me check my numbers on the lottery website due to the fact the are gambling sites.
i've tried to get rid of it but it keeps asking for a password and as this is a 2nd hand laptop, we dont have the password.
called cash converters and apparently they are not allowed to give it to us even if they knew it ( which they say they don't ).
can anybody please help us to un-install the program?
cheers, volly

You need the password to remove it the conventional way. You can however stop it from running on startup and then delete the program folder for it. (You can't do it this way without stopping nihlsp.dll from loading on startup, since the file will be in use) Follow these steps: 1. Download, and run LSP-Fix: http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm2. Next, double-click on LSPFix.exe to start the application. Place a check in the box for "I know what I am doing", then highlight the file: nihlsp.dll3. Move that file from "Keep" to "Remove" box using the >> arrow. Click the finish button, then OK to close. 4. Reboot 5. Delete the program folder (it'll be under c:/program files/netintelligence, I guess) or just forget about it, since it won't startup anymore.

cheers, volly I removed this from a friends laptop the other day, i phoned netintelligence up, they told me the only way to remove it, is if you have the letter that came with pc with the registration code, lukily my friend had it, as the laptop came from a school that was given to his son. You carnt even use recovery partion to remove it as its on there. You could wipe the drive and do a fresh install.

First of all NEVER buy anything electrical from cash converters, silly silly mistake! Second i think that programs doing you a favour, gambling is a disgusting addiction, it will save you money. Leave it in Seriously, i would take the laptop back and say it is of no use to you, i very much doubt you will get your money back from those ^&*&^*&%*s though. If it was me i`d kick off, whats the point in having something you cannot use properly? Demand cash back or a replacement laptop but don`t take any tat they offer you, they will more than likely give you a 28 day credit note but tell them to do one. Let us know how you get on

the only way to remove it They lied. Of course they didn't tell you there's a way to remove it without the code, their program would be useless if they did. The way I listed works fine, no need to format the drive. Though personally I would anyway, who knows what else could be there if the previous owner sold it without formatting it.

Haha all kinds of weird fetish porn I think. Mate. Get a disc from a forum member download the latest drivers from manufacturers site and do a fresh install.
Failing that exo way will work or you can type in to the run box services.msc and disable the startup service that relates to the program.

cheers, volly You could always try typing in the default password!as no-one really bothers with changing the default, Try these..1st default = Password. 2nd default is = change me . If these fail then .. I'd take back+demand your cash /replacement lap-top! As advised ealier. Go ยป xgoodluck
