Does anyone know where a friend can get hold of an interior fan heater for his W Reg Saab please?
Saab no longer make them, so wondered if anyone can help!

Try Borough Car Spares. If they don't have one-they'll know someone who will!!

If it is the fan, its usually only the brushes that have gone on the motor.

Little bit tricky getting the motor in and out without breaking something unless you take care.

THIS might help.

It'll be the resistor on top of the fan unit, it's a common fault on GM cars. They're not protected from the elements and corrode internally leading to short circuits and burn-outs in the coil. The motors are very reliable, it'll 100% be the resistor. wink

You can replace the whole unit with a good 2nd hand one on ebay - they are about £30....

By the time you have removed it / swapped bushes etc, refitted, your going to be gutted if it wasnt the part you changed and it still doesnt work.... think
