Each and every one to their own but although I havent seen these poppy wristbands I would prefer to have the original poppy that people can see hence the saying wear your poppy with pride.

I have both. I wear my poppy wristband, H4H wristband, Mercian Regt wristband, ABF and Para's (Afghan Trust) wristbands every day. My poppy gets put on every coat/jacket/hoodie I wear and I wear it with pride smile

I apologise if I have worded my post wrong I havent meant to offend I look at it as wearing an original type poppy whereas a wristband type is ones more visible than the wrist type.

The kids love sporting a wristband so if it helps raise awareness I'm all for them

I didn't read it that way Red smile I like my wristband as I can wear it all year round, whereas when I wore my poppy all year round people made comments about it saying that it shouldn't be worn all year (what it had to do with them is beyond me! I don't see why it's an issue but that's just me). I wore it because it has my friends' birth and death dates on it. I like to know they're still "kept alive" so to speak. That's why I went over to the wristband - it means I can honour the 4 people I've lost every single day smile

wench i see no reason in wearing it all year round im all for it. More money the better i seen some eejit on ebay selling diamonte poppies and donating the proceeds to H4H. (not that H4H is a bad thing) it seems folk are confusing the two. (although they do go hand in hand)

always watching
