dont put a jubilee clip on a cv boot mate use the proper clamp supplied
if you need the proper clamp i can let you have one and lend you the tool to fit it
personaly jubilee clips on cv boots are one of my pet hates even cable ties are better than them

Can you tell me why its not good to use jubilee clips
I knackered all original clips, i have put jubilee clips on one boot and it fells fine

Just buy a proper clip, use a pair of clippers to crimp it.

if you can wait til monday dinnertime i will even come and do it for you

I have to go get 2 more boots and more grease on Tuesday, Thank you for your offer, I could bring the drive shafts to you next week some time, for you to do the clips.

Jubilee clips are unequal weight on their circumference as they are heavier on the worm thread area - this puts the CV out of balance.

This seriously shortens the life of the CV.

On some cars the height of the jubilee screw assembly rubs against the ribbing.

I've seen two or three smaller jubilees connected in series to balance them round the shaft.

Main trick whatever you use is to try and avoid getting grease under the rubber where the clip is, on many cars they can just pop off without a good rubber to metal contact (easier said than done sometimes - you can but try lol.
