i applied for a job with them fro four different places around the wirral and i had a reply last week saying i have an interview for the laird street one and the manager will be in touch and it asked in the email to download the form and fill it out and take it with me to the interview. anyway the email didn't have any attachment for me to download so i contacted them and it has taken them over a week to get back to me and now they have said basically that i got the email by mistake and i havnt got an interview. i am fuming and just waiting at the moment for a company i use to find the ceo's email address so i can contact him about this. really really annoyed me it has

It's not on the way that have done it but at least you know. Better off not working for them if they can't even get an email right!

Yer im pissed at them too, they had an offer - 3 big bottles of booze (peroni, stella etc) for £5.50. Bought 6, went the till, bought 2 scratch cards (£2.00 each after asking for the £3 pound ones as I am a player but the girl clearly didnt hear me) and it came to £18. Didnt think anything of it till I was half way down the road. I shall be going back tomorrow for a grumble.
Uncertainty or not knowing causes depression, Im happy because I know I'm going to die one day!

had a reply today which they have totally overlooked my complaint. See below. May I once again apologise for any grievance or inconvenience this may have caused, but I must stress that from time to time, circumstances do change in different stores
I have just had another quick look at your CV in order to provide any feedback to you I can, unfortunately due to the high numbers of applications we are receiving for Team Leader positions we are having to pre-screen all CVs. For particularly popular positions we are specifically looking for a strong food retail background as part of previous employment, and failing that, a sustained period in retail or food handling services. Whilst I notice a period of employment spent at Somerfield, I would presume that the nature of this work has been overlooked in favour of candidates with greater relevant experience. Should you wish to reapply for further roles, my personal advice would be to expand on any food retail, food or retail experiences you may have had within your CV. I sincerely hope this is of help to you.
I once again apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your continued interest.
Kind regards
Murray Hill
