Is that the partition reserved for Windows as Ste said, alot of NTFS operating systems create a virtual partition on one of your physiacal drives that it will dedicate to windows and all the relevant DLL's etc
Its not your recovery partition - its your "System Volume Information" folder. Its stores the restore points and other bits and pieces for windows. It can get big, if you reduce the size for restore points it will get smaller.
