I live in Dorset now but like to come up to the Wirral now and again. I prefer to stay somewhere quiet and friendly rather than in some inhostpitable Travel Lodge. Does anyone know a good B&B - preferabley run by a kind old lady who likes to chat and makes a good cup of tea!

I appear to have trodden on some toes here. I see that you are operating a web site that advertises the mentioned guest house, so any derogatory comments might cause lack of revenue to you.
I mentioned care to be taken purely from the comments that were made during the consultations that took place after the planning applications were made for the conversions the this B & B by the owner, one Mr. Singh of London.
Now I can recommend "Dunsandles" on Rowsen Street. I have no connections to either.

Once again.............wrong!

Why oh why do people like you assume. You slapdash a comment at the B&B and they you make assumption about my website.

Your comment for people to be 'Careful' of the B&B is down right derogatory and gives the impression that there is something amiss with this business. A comment that has been viewed over 135 times, you give no reason or explanation for your comment. Have you been to this B&B, visited, had a wander round, met the Manager. Do you like the decor???? Do you think its value for money. Im guessing the answer to the first question is NO so the rest are a waste of time!

Your comment about trodden on toes and loss of revenue..... Not one business on my website has been charged and none of them bring a revenue to me, and if you actually took the time to look at the website you'll notice there are other hotels, bed and breakfast, restaurants and cafes on there. I mention the Albion House because others before me in earlier posts mention Dunsandles and Sherwood.

Just so you know, I have no connection to either but I have visited the Albion House and to answer my questions, yes I have met Chris and his dad and they are lovely people who are trying to create a new business in New Brighton, the decor is fresh and vibrant and the room rates are great value and I would recommend my family and friends to stay there.

I promote New Brighton in a young and positive way, with facts not assumptions, why don't you?.

Can I just ask?

Why didn't you post the whole website which has several B&Bs on?

NewBrighton,

For the moment, I will rest my case. I will go & visit & have a good look at the place, then come back to you. If your web site is free, you are to be congratulated & I have looked at it.

I have a feeling that I met you at one of the local forums & surely you are in business in promoting New Brighton?

The hope is that I will charge to advertise in the future, I have mentioned this to some businesses but given that its a recession and the development is not complete I think it will be a while before I achieve a tourist information booth and the chance of creating employment opportunities. I know we have a heritage site which I have promoted on here but I hope we will have the need for a tourist information place one day when the development is complete.

I'm not in the business in promoting New Brighton, just one woman and a website hoping to help showcase New Brighton, what it has and what it could be.

I'm sure you will approve of the Albion : )
