Clearly the fat man in spectacles has never spent one day of his life in Liverpool and is just making it up as he goes along - he is making Yorkshire scouse (which of course doessn't exist) and is trying to impress his lesser educated foodie friends with regaling tales of his times 'in the 'pool - TIT

Yes the photo is of Ken Pye the Liverpool Historian.
He gave a talk about Scouse at St George's Hall on Scouse, the food, dialect, and Scousers and handed out his recipe at the end of the meeting. It was a very good event

I have made many a huge pot of Scouse from that very recipe and its bloody lovely. I have it with some bread rolls, and that sliced beetroot you can get in jars and a sprinkle of Worcester sauce. I then give some away to friends or relatives and the rest is eaten in the week either at work or for tea again.
