Is the Queens Arms still open ? Used to be one of my favorite watering holes when I lived in B'head.

It is!! I can remember the Men Only room on the right as you went in the main door.The other door in the lane had an off licence just inside.

It used to be my local from 1967 to 1975 (when I moved down south) and I always thoroughly enjoyed it. Last year we made a nostalgia visit to Wirral and called into the Queens. I was very disappointed. It's changed so much and not, IMO, for the better.
