i asked for 16-25 hours and got 11.5 hours... but im hoping extra hours will come up at some point... if i get an offer for low hours i'll have to turn it down.. You take the low hours and work your way up! some people, honestly That is not the attitude to have, that won`t help you in getting a job at all. Love to see you in an interview lol i have a job, always have worked in big companys, and brought up 3 kids and cannot afford to take a drop in hours! yes i agree, take low hours and take the chance of working upto more but i am not in a position to drop hours on the chance that i 'Might' get more in the future. i'm sure there is lot of people who would love a new job but wouldn't take a drop in hours to do so...would you? but its fab for someone who doesn't have a job...
Lol, ok, so your willing to tarnish your record by refusing a job instead? Well good luck to you, you won`t get far with that attitude though, look at it from the employers point of view At least you are working though, you make moi proud Oh, and no i would`nt take a drop in hours, i`m ALWAYS working, workaholic one may call it, i have an expensive hobby to finance

why would i tarnish my record? at the interview i was asked what the minimum hours i would be able to accept as they needed to know rather than offer a contract that wouldn't suit someone, saves them time, also they can offer to someone else...
and why on earth would i drop a lot of hours to be then left in position where i couldn't feed my children or pay my bills?
would you (honestly) take a big drop in pay to take a chance that you could get more sometime in the future, but then struggle now to pay your bills, feed your family etc?
everybody has different circumstances.

Dude, i heard there was something called WORKING tax credits for peeps like you, whoever hands those out will up your wages. What i mean by tarnish your record is your name will now be on file for that company, when a future job comes up you WON`T be included because you will be looked upon as not willing to work small hours. Strike 1, your not suitable. Someone who is willing to work low hours will come 1st. I`m not having a go i`m telling you how it is. Good luck on your search.

Good luck on your search. you cannot get WTC on under 16 hours . plus i cannot get WTC as my children are in uni/working so i do not get any help finacially and the lady interviewing me fine about me saying how many hours i would need and wrote it on my form and said they rather people be honest in what they need than waste their time etc i just felt you were judging me and you have no idea of my circumstances time i wasn't here as its my only day off this week

its really dosn't matter what kids do or don't do, this was about originally about if anyone would take a big drop in hours on the 'chance' that they may be increased in the future...which most people would not leave one job to go to another if it meant taking a drop of almost 60% weekly hours/wages Good luck to everyone who applied
