My mum hasnt been able to access the internet since yesterday... typical Virgin Media shite...

According to Virgin, its been off since 16:00 yesterday, and they are hoping to have it back up and running by "close of play today" (yep, they wouldnt give her a time).

lol, I know mate, but she's only really got it for the telly and cos its cheaper than BT the deal she's on is good for her needs, the outage doesnt bother her much cos she doesnt use the net all that much, however I think the legnth of time is digusting, and the fact they arnt very forthcoming with information, not even an ETA is out of order.

Virgin Media couldnt organise a piss-up in a brewery, but try tellin that to my mother raftl

We have and the sods dont give it back, they take it off next months bill because apparantly thats easier but what they dont realise is theyve taken your money that you needed in the bank for that months other direct debits, they did this to us and made us go Over drawn and we got bank charges for it, we threatened court action and they paid the money back in and covered the bank charges - eventually! And dont get me started on the overseas call centres who dont have a clue.

I dumped Virgin back in March after years of poor service and went over to BT.

BT's broadband and hub have so far been 100% reliable and I've only had a couple of short email outages.

She lives in the CH46 are (Moreton)... so if we have the CH45 and CH46 areaKs off atm, as Cilla would say, thats a whole lorra lorra homes and its almost 24 hours without service now, and counting - if thats someones opinion of "the best service around", then they must have been with talktalk previously loooool.

They still have no idea when service will resume. Mind you, at least its not the whole lot off like usually happens with Virgin, the TV and telephone still work okay; I guess thats something better than nothing for the old dear lol.

no probs in wallasey, Imo virgin media are by far the most superior, I have 50mb with them and never had a problem, I have had sky and bt broadband in the past and been totally let down with the service. My virgin media service gets totally battered on a daily basis and always been 110%, could not fault virgin one little bit
