What do you need to know? Is it for a caravan? Tent? I guess the direct answer to your question is "they provide electricity"

For a tent - whats the difference when they say 6amp or 10amp - where do you buy the hook-ups from - they did not have them in Halfords or Argos. Any advice? It would be great to have a few small electrical items when we go camping.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses

Its when you go to the campsites - they have a plugin thing there but mention 6 or 10 or perhaps even 15 no - amps or watts. Always used gas/burners for cooking - thinking about more convenience now. ie kettles n radio n stuff.

You might struggle with an electric kettle where there is low amps 6-10,but fine for radio tv smaller gadjets.
