My daughter has a picture licence which has NOW run out [yes she's only had the renewal form a month]anyway now its run out can she still legally drive her car
I've tried looking on the DVLA site but thats as clear as mud Th

Maybe - is the answer
She does still HAVE a licence because it was only being sent away for photo renew BUT it would have been wise to take a photocopy of the old licence and the completed form as sent to DVLA. That is what I did last week
If she does not have either the letter from DVLA saying the licence needs renewing or a photocopy of what has been sent away then it will of course be difficult should she have a reason to show her licence to some authority eg police.

According to the DVLA website:
Driving before your licence is returned
You can drive before you get your licence as long as you: •have held a Great Britain or Northern Ireland licence issued since 1 January 1976 or another exchangeable licence •are not disqualified from driving •haven't been refused a licence for medical reasons or for failing to comply with medical enquiries •wouldn't be refused a licence for medical reasons - if in doubt, check with your doctor •keep to any special conditions that apply to your licence

Go on dvla website and renew it on there.If she got a passport she can give her passport number and they can download that pic for her. its easy and quick
