Any tried and tested suggestions on how to download any youtube vids to a pc (either from a program on the pc or via an internet site doing it)

if your running windows 7 right click on your desktop go to Gadgets theres one in there. if not download one of these  xx http://download.cnet.com/1770-20_4-...pe=downloads&filterName=&filter=

google search, zamzar, go to wed site, click on tools, and follow directions on page, you can download it in any format you want, it sends it to your email address and you click in your mail to downlaod it, i havre been using it for years

Jdownloader (program) and Flashget (firefox extension).
Lets you download anything that streams from anywhere. And in multiple formats, for youtube videos you can download every graphic level including HD and you can download just the .mp3 version if you're just after the music.

thanks for all suggestions -I'm going with Realplayer as seems the easiest and works in youtube when I click on download
