This government is using the national debt as an excuse to make the poor poorer and rich richer as is the natural want of a tory based party.

Debt is always relative to income, which in national terms is measured by GDP (gross domestic product). In the G7 (the seven leading developed countries) the UK has the best ratio of debt to GDP.

Our debt is a long way from out of control, but it is a handy tool that the media hysteria has gone along with, to introduce unfavourable policies whilst blaming the previous government.

Eventually the truth will be realised.

The Tory party have never been any different, so no one should be surprised, what they have always had is an excellent propaganda machine, so no one should be surprised there. Whats being said now in the article was said before the election, but as always the press made sure it was suppressed. There is only a certain length of time were you can blame previous governments, the time will soon come when this coalition will have to stand up and be accountable for their own actions and policies.

Thank God the previous government had nothing to do with it, it was all somebody elses fault.
Did you see Cameron door stepping on his own? No sign of all the entourage with him asking loaded questions and holding up posters like the last lot always did, with the same old faces in the background because they were shipped around in a bus from party H.Q. Give me strength. Labour are still blaming Maggie even though they were in for 13 bloody years and made the mess. Wake up and smell the coffee, or at least think for yourself.

Every previous government has something to do with it or there wouldn't be a change of government, i can think that one out for myself, but what the previous government were not responsible for was a world recession, The previous government were not responsible for financial collapses world wide, though listening to some, you would think they were, ok so they racked up a bit of debt, whats new there in the present world economy. So how do the Tories go about getting the country out of it, by making the least well off suffer for them, ask yourself, who's going to pay the higher price, not the rich bankers and money men who's greed caused the problems in the first place, but the every day man in the street, i stopped drinking I'm alright jack fook the rest coffee years ago.

How long do you have to be in charge of a job as the boss before you stop blaming the previous boss for the mess you are in? If things are wrong you get in, sort it out and then make your own cock ups for the next boss to sort out, but one thing is for certain, you cannot blame the previous boss for 13+ years if you carry on making things worse yourself. Another thing is that you should never get in to debt during a boom, you should put something aside to keep yourself in essentials when things go tits up again. That's what I did myself and I am ok, "sod you Jack I'm inboard," as the saying goes. This lot are sorting it out as they see fit and if it doesn't work then it is their turn to take the brickbats. In the meantime the Socialists can't say they suddenly have all the answers because they are still the same crowd that made the cock ups in the first place and they've only been out the door five minutes. The next election will tell whether lessons have been learned or not, the same as the last one was supposed to have done, but we'll see.

Cheers bezzy but no thanks. What I do though sometimes is transfer what's happening to a way I would do it myself because running a house is only the same as running a country, only the size differs. Money in, money out. People to do things, people not wanting to do things. Places to go, places not to go. Rules to obey, rules to ignore but take the consequences. and so it goes on. If I get it wrong, and I have now and again, then someone else suffers in the household, exactly the same as the government but on a smaller scale. It works for me anyway and it helps that I've been around a bit. Oh, and there's other points of view as well, even in the house and that's where the politics comes in, or the whip.

At the end of the day you get one crack at life, make the best of it and most of all enjoy it. Sometimes its a bag of spanners, other times it's brill. If you cock up then there is always tomorrow.

If you want to run a country like a household, fair enough, what you don't do is let the wife and kids go without while you go on a jolly, you don't go boozing , gambling at their expense knowing eventually by them going without it will get the family out of the brown stuff. You could of course lie and break promises and see how long you can get away with it, but not very long i think.

Unless Bandy is a secret member of the Bullingdon Club, what on earth makes you think they'd let some northern prole run the Tory party?
