Where's your other thread 'Wanted: Headache Tablets' ? wink

Can you not buy a small one? Don't think they're massively expensive. I borrowed my mum's a while ago when I refitted the bathroom because the old shower leaked and soaked the floorboards.

Good luck with your damp patch...

you are right of course , they are not massively expensive , except now , when father christmas demands all my spare cash...i will probably look at a long term hire , seems reasonable

Father Christmas.. what a barstard.

Actually I've just had a look they are more expensive than I thought...

Maybe keep an eye on freecycle or ebay? Might get a bargain?

Can highly recommend Hygiene Supplies Direct for best prices and fast delivery, if you want to buy new. Just got their excellent EH1207 for £92 delivered.

Much better to cure the cause of the damp patch. De-humidifiers aren't cheap to run if there is a continual source of humidity.

I have used them, my advice is that if you aren't going to plumb in a waste pipe, get one with a bigger tank, otherwise the things are auto-off with a full tank too often.

The first 10 days or so, expect it to run nearly continually as the carpets, walls, furniture etc release their water content.
