Ok as some of you know i built a really well speced skid car (s13 200sx) i had nothing but bad look with it after one thing was fixed somthing else broke i do not have deep pockets and i do not like to pay a posh garage.

I also dont norm like to own sombody elses car lol

BUT i am sick of not skidding so shall own a well built car and in time i shall make this my own but one thing i have learnt is that skid skid skid 1st then fix 2nd having the very best of everything does not make you the worlds best drifter its all about seat time.

I have bought a car with good mods and to be honest its a very god start better than i thought.
Its a facelift 1994, was auto, now has manual conversion with a realy clean ca with 72,000 miles,. oil changeed after every drift day, and breathers cleaned every month.
engine

walbro fuel pump
has stage 1 chip
gizzmo boost controller
induction kit
massive fmic
apex full exhaust
japspeed downpipe
turbo technics hybrid turbo T25, 4 months old
power steering cooler

suspension
has apex coilovers front
tein on the rear
subframe locking collers
tension rods
steering rack spacers
modified steering knuckles
welded diff

interior
striped and sound deadening out
cusco roll cage
hydro handbreak
drift button
omp suede dished wheel
boost gauge
four grid drifts 16x8 et10
5 oem wheels, all with good tyres

PLANS ARE FUEL/TYRES/FUEL/TYRES/FUEL/TYRES lol
Skid time

if it breaks i shall fix it with somthing better.
On a plus note though i bought my old rear hatch and kouki lights lol
Some pics stolen from the build NOT MINE lol

fmic and driftworks poeer steering cooler

Worked in JDM tuning for many years, watch out for rust on the rear chassis rails, S13's love to rot right through the floor, be wary also that the CA18, rather like its RB brothers doesn't tollerate any hint of oil starvation even for a moment, sump baffles! Even if you make your own its better than nothing.

That said with the right parts (Tomei rods, pistons, poncams) I've mapped a CA18 to a good 450hp with the stock crank, mild flowing on the head and a GT28RS @ 1.5 bar.

Great fun. And the RB26 is a lovely fit under the bonnet...

And while I think of it - I have the hardware and software to edit the Nissan ECCS ECU in that car wink

Give it some lazy-eyes too dude ... they look awesome. Oh, and umm, Evo 7 front bumper vent fits into an S13 bumper without too much hastle, gives about another 10-15% surface area increase in fresh air to the I/C.

At last Tony - dont go fixing this one until it breaks! raftl

...and they are the track rod ends, for the steering rack, not the traction rods wink

Have they just added some stud iron to give the car more lock, and reinforced it with the other bar?

Its quite a common (and scary) mod on the S13, the drift boys swear blind that the trackrods flex. Because obviously a piece of bar held on with three hose clips is going to make a huge difference to it... Given that there is sufficient force to make the factory trackrods flex, three hose clips don't stand much chance in the rigidity game laugh

Totally agree Danoh, that trackrod mod done that way makes no difference other than a adding bit of extra weight on the moving suspension. If they are that concerned why dont they just weld it.

I have no doubt the track rods do flex, but so do the tyres, the wheels, the wishbones and the chassis etc etc. The flex in the tyres must be enormously more than the track rod could create.

The best "feel" update one could do for a drift car is just to rose-joint EVERYTHING, additionally get some adjustable top mounts and wind on the caster. One of the cars I have worked on (mapped the engine management) over the years was Brett Castles S14, that was much as described above.

A scary risk I can see from those bars is what happens to your wheel when the bar flings out and gets jammed between the wheel and the caliper ... ripping brake lines and sending you through the pearly-gates in a drifty fireball!

Absolutely - its much better than rocking up in a wheel chair unable to recall what day it is. But, its best only to arrive when you intend to, no matter how cool the impromtu entry might be!

dan0h cheers for the info bud its not my 1st s13 think its my 5th lol

Brett castle was ny 1st drift idiol so anybody good enough to work on his car is good enough for me to listen to cheers.

The pikey mods shall be off the car tomora once the trackins sorted yeah stu noticed my mistake but still didnt fix it lol

The steering mod is on the knuckle its chopped and welded plus there us a 3mm spacer on the tension rods the pikey mod was the last owners idea of stopping the tension road from bending on full lock lol

have since put my old hatch and shall have a avcr and my kouki lights in by the end of the month.

Hoping the sxoc rolling road goes ahead on the 27th so i can see what power the car makes.

Oh and dan0h rb26's are sweet but very expensive to run my mates got a rb26 powered 13 (496 bhp i think) the reall problem though is heat while drifting for him.
