Please stop calling it a fine. It's an unenforceable invoice. For providing you with that information please send me 50 quid or 100 if you can't do it within 14 days.

Sounds daft that but that is exactly what these cowboys are doing. Ignore, ignore, ignore even if they threaten to kidnap your cat.

Easy money though if anyone wants to set up one of these "companies". It's that easy, anyone can do it.

Pepipoo. Google it and read all about these scams and how to deal with them. More importantly spread the word to everyone.

lol, if you read the whole thread you'll see thats the general theme smile

Honest John in the Telegraph recommends sending a fiver in lieu of any infringement of parking contract that may have been inadvertantly caused and if they would like more they can go through the courts, they then back off.

I had this problem there a few years back. Parked in the smaller car park by McDonalds and few days later got a letter for a £75 fine saying that rubbish had been thrown out my passenger side window. I had my mum with me and knew for a fact that she hadnt even opened the window. She got in touch with whoever send the letter and it turned out that there was a maccys bag blowing around by my car. The fella had the cheek to say he had been working 50 hours that week so he hadnt checked over the cctv properly!!
I wonder how many people would just go ahead and pay the fine though!

One lad I used to work with (typical know it all teenage boy racer, badly modified chavmobile etc you know the type) got caught throwing rubbish out the car window there for 3 nights on the run. It was too late by the time the first fine arrived. I laughed my head off and then some.

Hia I have just found this forum I know it ia a couple of years old but hoping you still access it.
I have come home from work today to find a charge from Highview parking as over stayed by 38 minutes at Rock Retail Park similar situation to yourself after 8pm, and was wondering what happened after you ignored the letter.
I would appreciate any guidance from what you experienced.
Thank you

I had one of these a few years ago, they sent 4 letters then must have got the message and they stopped. No further problems.

This is not new! My friend Bill Kenny was fined ten shillings in 1958 for cycling without lights in a lane which runs from Leasowe Road to the Gun sites. It was,and is, little more than a footpath but the officer said it was clear that he was going to ride on Leasow Road similarly un-equipped.
Justice or what?
