...Central Park Tilly was attacked by a Mastiff type Boxer cross Friday night in the park it was a horrid viscous un-provoked attack and I didn´t know what to do it took me completely by surprise. I saw the woman ahead of me with this huge dog on a lead I was walking on the path and she moved over with her dog to a grassy part, the dog was crouching behind a tree and I smiled and commented he was hiding from my dog..with that he dragged the woman across the grassy bit to the path, he was so strong he pulled her onto her back and she let go of him and he lunged straight for Tilly, she tried to fight him off but he put all his weight on top of her she was screaming her little head off, the woman grabbed the dogs tail and pulled and I kicked and kicked him eventually he let go of Tilly, I´m screaming at her that her dog should be muzzled, she said "I´m sorry he is unpredictable????" i´m swearing like a fecking docker at this point and yelling "if he´s unpredictable he should be f****** muzzled yer stupid f****** cow you can’t even control a dog that f******* size what the bleeding hell are you doing taking him out with no muzzle? and he´s not been neutered are you f******* thick. if he attacks a smaller dog his jaws will kill it in seconds are you completely f******* stupid". "she kept shouting sorry! is HE ok" to me as I walked out of the park but I was too worried about my dog to answer her and besides that, I had no idea if SHE was ok or not. I rang the vet and luckily, they were still there finishing off, she has 2 deep puncture wounds one in her chest the other in her side which just goes to show how big the jaws were on the Mastiff; and he absolutely meant to kill too .. the vet treated her for shock and gave me some pain killers and antibiotics for her wounds. she seems ok and has eaten and drank normally :´( I have reported the incident to the police. the desk sergeant said it sounds like this will not be a one off incident and fears for any one walking with their dogs unknown of what could happen. I am also writing a letter to the editor of the globe and wirral news, so people are aware of this dog and maybe the dogs owner will see it and realise it has been reported and she will do something about training and muzzling her ´unpredictable´ dog, and also have him neutered. Oh and I would like to thank the 4 Lads that turned up and stood and watched the whole thing and did absoloutly NOTHING!! to help. p.s sorry I don´t normally swear (that bad) but if someone/thing is hurting my dogs I just go off on one.. her side bite her Chest bite

my dad and his king charles were attacked by a lurcher in ellesmere port, the dog max had very serious injurys to his leg but so far has managed to keep it with plates in his leg.Any dog who is unpredictable should be kept on a lead and muzzled at all times, fair enough the gentleman who owned the dog payed all the £3000 vets bills but doesnt that say to you that the owner was in the wrong? wishing your gorgeous dog a full recover,my parents reported this to the liverpool echo in a bid to raise awareness of these common incidents and to help in getting these unpredictable dogs muzzled in public places
