Its very sad indeed. Our Admin woman said that the demolition started Wed afternoon last week. At this rate i reckon the remaining bit of the structure wont be there next week!
I was surprised at how little rubble there appeared to be in comparison to the size of the building?
Im assuming that the jcb driving all over the rubble 'compresses' it??

That is why it is important that everyone takes photographs of the surrounding area. You never know when old buildings are demolished suddenly, or, which is the usual practice on the Wirral, they are burnt to the ground.

Oh that is really sad. frown I lived on one of the streets at the back of it for nearly 10 years. My first son was born there too.
