Followed by a Free BBQ, mobile planting session and cycle cinema on Ilchester Square from 8pm [/quote] well i went to the free bbq last night and really enjoyed it the kids were very busy planting fruit plants and eating what only i can call the best strawberry i have ever had! very well done guys and girls my only down side was missing the film about the northend gutted anyway some pics more to follow!
Please do not adjust your mind, there is a slight problem with reality
Fab photo's TC - the one night I missed as I was helping my Mam + Dad move house, everyone said it went really well though.
The Rock Ferr5y one tonight was great too - had to be moved as some local people had complained, we wanted to do it under a railway bridge with the wall as the screen would have looked great but can understand the locals not wanting gangs hanging around. We did it in a local swing park and it went down a storm
Tomorrow at Craven Street, Birkenhead - the last little one until Saturdays finale in the park.
Really successful so far - the walk today didn't have enought people and no-one came to wirralpedia walk which is a real shame so she tagged onto the history walk but apparantly he wasn't to happy about it and she ended up going home, shame that, Bev had done great stories about Wirral all based a bit on fact.
Last one tomorrow meeting 3pm at Live Wirral Centre - going to try and make that one.
Saturday will be intersting as it's a fact gathering thing for me, seeing how people have responded to the weeks events so I can write up an evaluation.
But yes - we do hope to do more, the evaluation will go to the Steering Group and then they decide how to go forward with the project hopefully by some sort of commission for Wirral.
This isn;t necessarily an artwork, the one iin Sefton is now being built as a community watersport and activity playcentre on the leeds Liverpool Canal, it was felt that was needed far more than a sculpture in that instance.
So more exciting times ahead I think.
Also think we might be helping set up a eacome History society as there isn;t one, that would be great
