I went over to Hilbre today to get some photos and explore on my own. It took 35 minutes two get to Hilbre and that was stopping to take pictures too. Will probably take about an hour at Wikki walk pace. The beach was dry most of the way until about half way between little eye and middle eye where it gets a bit soggy but it is avoidable. According to the board the islands clear of tide after 1pm tomorrow but it was supposed to be 12.20pm today , I could see people on middle eye at 11:30am so we should be good to go for 12 tomorrow.

I found a couple of caves that I did not know about before also there was a band filming their music video at the old lifeboat station. I had to wait for them to finish the take before I could go over.

see you tomorrow gang.

I can show you where they are yes. I found two round the back of Hilbre, not including the well known 'lady cave' (Yes thats its real name, sounds a bit rude nowadays lol). The best one you can stand in and it gos in about 30ft the other is not quite as deep.

Wow! Cool stuff kev!
On a negative note-derek, no onion!! Forgot it today. I have just put my shoes on and walked around the 'o'-it was shut!! Gutted for ya dude! You'll have to make do with (adopts m+ s advert voice) - ' coursly grated red leicester cheese sandwhiched between b+ m big baps, lightly 'buttered' with clover spread'. ! Altho, on a positive note plus may go bak around in the mornin, for onions. Only for you, derek!
