 Anyone noticed the number of trees getting the chop? I mean it cant be right at this time of year with birdies nesting. Also on Leasowe common, all the bushes and hedgerows have been obliterated.  Save our trees and bushes!!

Its back end of next month that is the wrong time to be trimming trees, thats why they are all been done now

We have some evergreen leylandii trees in the garden, and TBH I want to 1/2 their height to about 12 feet - I have a southern facing garden and at this time of year they block a lot of light

From chatting to a couple of the guys doing the work there seems to be two reasons for the big chop.
1: They've suddenly found a lot of trees that are basically dead inside, and it's only the outer growth that's keeping them vertical, good gust of wind and they'll be down.
2. It's the end of the tax year, and if they don't spend it all quickly they'll get less next year.
