looking at the Orange Lodge post reminded me

Anyone remember on a Sunday morning a group of the SA would be in the middle of your street playing instruments, singing and a sermon
Don't know if it was just our street that needed saving
You don't hear very much about the SA nowadays
Remember a lad at BI who was going to be an officer in them when he left school
Were they paid a wage or was it voluntary

I remember them playing at the end of our road on occasions, Sunday mornings mainly. I would think some of them would be full time and would receive payment, like any other religious or charitable organisation.

God help us,
Come yourself,
Don't send Jesus,
This is no place for children.
