Mad Men got such a good write up from the critics e.g." The acting is better than anything done in British drama", so gave it a whirl last night. What a load of crap. The makeup is so bad makes it look like a tranny programme (it must look bloody awful in high defenition) and it's just about show offs and oneupmanship and no doubt there will be plenty of rooting coming up in the future episodes. It's twice now I've been mislead by fawning critics, The Wire was the last one, couldn't understand a bloody word they were on about with all the American steet talk. I'm not even anti-American but pleeeaase!
Birkenhead........ God's own Room 101.
