I'd consider a 2g depending on condition I thought the 3gs was the newer model than the 3g?

Yep, 2G --> 3G --> 3GS I have a 2G which has been updated to the newest 3.1.2 software, can be jailbroken, works with any o2 sim but have a slight problem - one of the lines on the screen has packed in meaning that it needs a new digitiser... http://www.parts4ipods.com/epages/e...h=/Shops/es115703_shop/Products/IPN2GDIGNeeds one of these to fix it but have neither the time nor the inclination as I have upgraded to a 3G. Welcome to give it a whirl for some beer tokens?

Just to add, it still works, put your music on it, you can navigate it etc. The only issue you have is if you want to select something on the broken line, you need to scroll up or down a little then select it.

I might be upgrading from the 3G to 3G"S" in December I like the compass. I will prob be upgrading my 3G to the 'S' as well come Feb but only because "I can" - I've had a play with the S and don't see a whole lot of difference. The 32GB would be nice though.
