Thats a cool tip.. And tack in, copper block used again to stop the edge burning away when welding, the trick is to start welding on the copper block and work inwards, rather than outwards.

I've just done a rotten sill on my car. It's been off the road for 5 months. Was hoping to pop over to Deeside when you were karting but missed that by a few days. Still got a few things to do but will get over to a meet one day. :-)

My welding is terrible, I just get impatient after 1/4 hour.
Is there a sill skin over your welding, or is that fibre glass? Must've been tricky!

It is fibre glass. Was a very tricky job. Had to cut away the body panel to get to do the required welding around the seatbelt mounting point. Rebuild the whole of the underneath of the car whilst we were at it, rebonded the bodywork and then a full respray. Quite a job! Also refurbed the alloys, repaired some small accident damage, sorted out the sagging doors (common prob on Alpines) and replaced arial. ![[Linked Image]](http://i538.photobucket.com/albums/ff348/johnfolly/i.jpg) Front wheel arch is prone to corrosion. ![[Linked Image]](http://i538.photobucket.com/albums/ff348/johnfolly/d.jpg) From inside.
