If it's just vinyl - then any vinyl place will do it!

well dropped a few emails and am just waiting for a reply back. am looking at my roof being wrapped for the moment, and then possibly the bonnet and boot lid. It isn't really worth using real carbon fiber as the weight saving over the alloy items is much of a saving and so I am only interested in the look.

well had a few emails back, boundary sign shop for £400 using only a carbon printed vinyl which aint what I want. Then I had a price of a company called vivid vinyl which can do it for £200 in the correct stuff but they are 4.5 hrs away. Going to do some door knocking today

I looked into Carbon wraps a while ago. In all honesty, if you want it to look really genuine (and even then you will probably be able to tell) you need to spend not far off the price of cheap CF parts. I looked at doing a bonnet and although the cheapo bonnet wouldnt be much lighter and would be flimsy, it would at least be real.

Next time i see you, maybe thursday, have a look at my bonnet. Its had a cheap CF wrap on it before the matt layer and it looks gash up close.

It looks alright from a distance though so dont let me put you off.

The problem with the vinyl is getting the effect. Real CF has a resin layer over the top giving it a deep look - a bit like a hologram.

Any vinyl just wont have the same depth as this frown

Will look ok from a distance, but close up... no

Its not the same stuff, the stuff I am talking about is textured not just a print, if that makes sense. I know it is very difficult to get the look but the carbon film in the pics is a dry look eg as if it had no resin or laquer

Dont know if anyone will still read this post but I had my focus bonnet, roof and wing mirrors done in the textured carbon fibre wrap at Soundwaves in Birkenhead, proper good job and does look like the real stuff, totally diff from the Halfords stuff.
