I think its a different type of helmet you need for climbing. The climbing ones are a bit different and have a strap to keep it on your head. A building site helmet would likely fall off your head if you had a tumble.

I once get shouted at for not wearing a helmet while there was 50 ton passing above our heads. Aren'T British management wonderful.

If you're only going to buy a cheap one aren't you wasting your money????
If you're wearing it to protect you if you fall 50ft+ then I don't beleive something that cost £3 is going to do the job.
