Yellow VX220 wrapped in to the central reservation at very high speed omg

It had been to the dealers for some bodywork and they had sent the car somewhere to be sorted. The car was being delivered back to te dealers and the driver lost control doing excessive speeds (Ive heard 3 figures+)

Car was a total wreck! (Driver was OK)

...explain that one to the customer.

Reminds me of a similar accident down south with a Maclaren F1.

They use a similar monocoque chassis to the Elise, this was pretty much ok, the bodywork however..... omg

That happened to my grandad years ago and they said "you let us drive the car you'll have to claim on your insurance". It went right to the brink of court when the garage backed down cos the mechanics shopping was foudn in the boot - they claimed they were test driving the car after a service when they were actually using it to do the lunch run (at about 90 down Boathouse Lane!).

On the case of the VX220, why was it being driven as a delivery - this sort of incident confirms to me that this shouldn't happen and this sort of transfer should happen on trailers not being driven by someone showing off!

That is what's known in Legal terms as being "on a frolic of their own" raftl completely negates vicarious liability laugh
