Right guys, got 3 TopUp TV boxes for sale soon. These are all under 12 months old, in fact one is only a month old. They include the remote and instructions etc... £50.00 each delivered to anywhere on Wirral or Chester, or make me an offer, im in no rush to get rid, they are just wasting space in my flat!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Specifications:

- TopUp TV 14 day TV Guide: the only 14 day EPG service on the market, downloaded to the box each day, so no waiting for it to populate etc!!

- Freeview+ Support: Means more accurate recordings, on the Freeview+ EPG, with an 8 day TV guide

- Twin Tuner: allows the recording of two channels at once (you can watch one, and record another, or watch a recorded programme whilst recording 2 channels etc).

- Series linking: the box will record all your favourite programmes automatically! No more worrying about missing something you like!

- 160GB Capacity: record upto 120 hours TV, without the need for tapes, DVD's or timers!

- Pause, re-wind and fast-forwarded live television.

- Re-wind and fast-forward recorded programmes at upto 64x - skip the adverts in seconds!

- TopUp TV slot and card: allows you to subscribe to Pay-TV and on-demand services should you wish - without obligation!

- Outputs (from memory): Twin SCART, S-Video, Composite, Digital-Audio, Analog Audio, UHF ariel.

- Support for future technologies: such as multiplex recording, allowing upto 14 channels to be recorded at once, currently under development. For example, Freeview+ was rolled out to boxes in October 2008 - even if the box was purchased in 2006, it now has Freeview+, no other PVR's purchased in 2006/early 2007 as it took till early 2008 for manufacturers to start producing them as standard will support this brand new service.

- Constant service development: whereas all other Freeview boxes are only updated when there is a serious issue etc, this is a support service; boxes will always feature the latest technologies and services. I can provide all the latest software months before its available...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They are the Thomson DTI6300-16 160GB models, which mean's you have upto 120 hours recording time (3x the amount on Sky+). They are basically the same as Sky+ (internal workings are near-identical to the Thomson DSI8210 Sky+ PVR3), they have a very nice EPG, look and feel similar to Sky+ and have more/better functionality in some aspects (im still finding little things I never realised where there every now and again lol).

The real beauty of them compared to Sky+ is of course, they don't have the rediculous monthly fee's just for the privaledge of being able to record, fast-forward, re-wind and pause live TV etc...

They also have the TopUp TV card, which means you can subscribe t on-demand and pay-tv services via DTT from the likes of TopUp TV Anytime, G.O.L.D, UKTV Style, Setanta (which TUTV are working with to get ESPN now of course as TUTV own the mux capacity) etc and I guess other services like Television X etc...

Here is some photos, the EPG photo's are a couple of years out date, but essentially the interface is the same, with a few refinements etc here and there:

What are the 6 days left on the recorded schedule? Are they automatically deleted after a certain amount of time?

The programme library pictured, actually only has TopUp TV Anytime on-demand programmes in it - just noticed this, they are darker backgrounds instead of the usual light blue that normal TV recordings are like.

As it's a push on-demand service, the programmes get deleted off the box after 6 days to rotate space. Though, if you prefer to keep them for longer, you can just "save" them into your personal recording space (hence the red save button in the legend).

I think with the PictureBox on-demand movie service, you can only keep the movies for upto 30 days, other on-demand (normal TV programmes) content is 90 days. This is all due to the way on-demand licensing works.

When recording your own things off channels, you have no time restriction at all, so they just stay on the box until you delete them.

Yer they work off a standard TV ariel; will have two ready for this week - gotta do a rebuild on them (software) etc as they have all previously been used for testing purposes. Still testing on the third one, but as the software is now public, will probably have that one ready an 2 - 4 weeks unless TUTV release the next development update quickly.

I also need to do some elective OAD updates on them and see how they work with the new software, as neither of the two I have available have v3.59 on them (imho it seems more stable than the new software - but this does vary from box to box - my non-dev box seems to be rock solid on it, I didnt even know it was running it lol) so will have to find out how well they work with it.

Didnt know if there would be much interest in them, so havent done it yet.

The only thing I would mention, is you need to be able to recieve Channel 5 on digital to use the TUTV+ 14 day TV guide and you need to recieve it very well to use the on-demand services (all of TUTV's channel capacity resides on the Channel 5 multiplex) - but the on-demand is subsctiption anyway, and most people don't have it (I only use it when I get it for free on development boxes).

Ill PM you Robbo matey.

Cheers smile

Yeah, but I never understood why ive never had any problems starting new ones, even when a was at 140+, and me limit was 100, but av never been able to recieve them off people, even when I eventually got it down to 6 or 7, or when I had at 90ish and the limit was 100.

Im confused, so I upgraded lol.

frown

Will PM you shortly Jaci.

One of these boxes has been reserved/paid for today, so got one available now, and another one in a few weks.
