Wirral commuters advised to check train times following fire at railway station
COMMUTERS travelling between Ellesmere Port and Liverpool are advised to check train times following a fire at a Wirral railway station this morning.
Network Rail are carrying out repairs to the third rail at Little Sutton railway station after the 09.19 service travelling from Ellesmere Port caught fire after stopping there.
An investigation is underway to establish the cause.
The work is expected to be completed by 2pm.
A replacement bus service is in operation until then.
