I think its more than just their bangers that are orange bert - its everywhere. i think they stand in a special cubicle and get sprayed.
the one and only time i attempted st tropez i looked like an alien - never again!!

I mean, who are they emulating? Umpa lumpa? I kid you not - I saw an umpa-lumpa or three in Liverpool the other day - and they were wearing school uniform and had very tatty hair. I should have taken a photo - no one will believe me now....or will they?
