I need a hammer and a nail.

I do have a tool box that contains everything I could possibly need for the majority of DIY jobs, but I'm damned if I can find it as the boxes seem to be multiplying in the spare room!!!

I know it sounds silly, but this is genuine - honestly!

Cheers Guys

Yer, your list just got bigger, you need a 'hammmer' action drill, a 5mm red wall plug, a 5mm maisonary drill bit, a 8x6x2 screw, a screw driver, and your hammer smile

Oh Dear Gods - what's wrong with just a normal nail raftl

I have all the items on that list Sanchez - in the tool box smack

I have a feeling it may have gone in the loft when Husband put everything up there - if it has, I'm screwed (pardon the pun)

By the sounds of things your hanging quite a large item, I nail may well be ok, but if its knock or perhaps over a period of time it might come out. You need to get a good fixing in to the brickwork behind the plaster on your wall. If it is in the loft how come your screwed ?

It will be over the fireplace so no chance of it getting knocked.

I'm screwed because I can't get into the loft and husband lives over 200 miles away raftl
