Alistair Darling has unveiled changes to vehicle excise duty - reclassifying vehicles according to the levels of carbon dioxide they emit.

Right, so what are the pre-2001 car prices gonna be? According to their online checker, MG ROVER/ROVER/AUSTIN ROVER/BRITISH LEYLAND don't exist, so does this mean I no longer have to pay tax??  I have to tax the damn thing tomorrow, £102 for 6 months or £185 for 12 iirc.

gutted for ya i pay half that! The pains of owning a pre-2001 2litre lol, I wish I still had my 1.4 Clio on days like this Oh well its paid now, another £200 for the government to invest in the UK banks...
