The Wife and I are Pesco-vegetarians. This means we eat fish/seafood but no other meat.

Quorn is a mushroom based alternative to meat. There is also linda mccartney & couldren, which i think are soya based. Most big name supermarkets do their own brand vege stuff aswell.

Holland & Barret health shop has a good selection.

I think Id rather starve...

You got me really hungry now somad

...and not for any veggie substitute foods lol

Thing I dont get is why? Humans are ment to eat meat as part of their diet, and unless you dont like the taste of all meat, why not eat it think

We're not "meant to eat meat" at all. We're intelligent creatures with freedom of choice and our own individual tastes. I've been veggie for over 25 years and never looked back.

Have you ever seen any of those programmes about what goes into most processed meat. It's slurry mate. Spinal material, minced testicles, entrails, and all that crud. This is the filth that McDonald's is selling to the unwary.

Don't you think you are worthy of something better ?

OK, so maybe my comment was a little unsubstantiated.

While humans may have longer intestines than animal carnivores, they are not as long as herbivores, nor do we possess multiple stomachs like many herbivores, nor do we chew cud. Human physiology indicates a mixed feeder.

Obviously processed meats will contain crap, but good meat, prepared well....

My main point was do people eat no meat due to health, taste, or religion reasons?
