I bought my astra last november from lookers in birkenhead on a 4 year finance deal through Royal Bank of Scotland. Is there anyway I can swap the finance onto another car before the 4 years is up or do I have to keep the astra for the full 4 years? If I can swap it, how do i go about it? I bank woth Halifax which is RBS so would that help?

For you to sell the car you need to settle the finance on THAT car, you could sell the car to someone and you pay the rest off OR they pay the remainder off the finance and you keep the rest.

You can't transfer payments to another person legally. It'd have to be a trust thing.

if ur finance is anything like mine u should have an option to settle up after 2 years and avoid a big chunk of interest!
