Has anyone ever noticed the Jewish grave near the Nanny Goat entrance? If you come through from Nanny Goats its on your right, follow the wall along and it is a pointy thing with star of David on it and I think maybe Hebrew. Been years since I seen it.

Never forget riding through there on ma bike with mates one summer and we spotted a tall holly bush on fire, no smoke, just flames. We went back about 15 minutes later and expected to find it all burnt but there was no sign of burn marks or the smell of burning - totally freaked us out!!! (burning bush in the cemetery - what does that mean???)

I went through Flaybrick Cemetery week to take some pics of the Crossways estate end on Sunday and it has got even worse. There are more empty houses burned and 2 sections of the cemetery wall have now gone. Steel gates are still on the entrance to the graveyard and it looks like wood has been piled up and set on fire around them.
I was getting watched by some hooded scallies so I didn't stay too long.
I heard some of the vaults have been broken into and bones scattered around the place a few years back.
There is also an urban legend about a lad who robbed a ring off a skeleton in a grave and was followed by a man in a cape and a top hat up to Tollemache Road, so he went and put the ring back.

Regards,

There are two chinese graves in the left corner, go through main gate, turn immediate left and they're in the corner by the wall. Close by is a heart breaking headstone for the Williams family 3 sons buried first, died in WW1, and then the two parents who died years later within a month of eachother, 1936 I think, so sad.

Throughout the summer the friends of flaybrick do guided walks. They are usually mentioned in the wirral globe or news (if you are lucky enough to get one delivered!)I have also seen a flyer on the wall of the cafe at the tam o'shanter. I wonder whether it can be googled? might be worth a try.
