SEVERE WEATHER WARNING : Drive CarefullyThursday 29 December WEATHER WARNING Snow now spreading across Wales, western Scotland and western England, together with ice will cause a hazard on the roads. However by morning heavier snow and driving winds in Eastern England and Scotland will lead to atrocious conditions. Travellers are advised to delay their journey. Valid until 1200. Thursday 29 December EARLY WARNING A band of snow will spread eastwards across the UK today and tomorrow. The snow is will be heaviest and most persistent as it crosses central and eastern parts tomorrow. Several hours of snow are expected here along with driving winds.
