EastEnders producers are planning an emotional send-off for Mike Reid's character Frank Butcher.
Old faces Sophie Lawrence and Charlie Brooks, who played Frank's daughters Diane and Janine respectively, are returning for the much-loved character's funeral in a week's worth of special episodes.
Sid Owen, better known as Mike's on-screen son Ricky, and Patsy Palmer, who played Ricky's ex-wife Bianca, have already announced their return.
Reid died at the age of 67 in July after suffering a heart attack at his Spanish home.
It has not yet been revealed how Frank will die, nor is it known when the special episodes will air. I knew Bianca was returning anyway, maybe Ricky might stay on the show too? Could be very interesting! Digital Spy

Dirty Den was okay, but they messed up his character. Also, it was far too unrealistic to be honest. This would be less serious, more fun and exciting recasting. Could well work.
