TFT Monitors Contrast Ratio

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/130925

that one has 3000 :1 Ratio

And this one
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/127412

has a Ratio of 700:1

So what's that all about then ?

Its how bright the screen is, in general, the brighter it is, the better the picture, but also the higher the cost.

Its usually like how much difference there is between white and black, ie, how much brightness the screen can display.

Some screens can be too bright though, but of course the brightness can be turned down, but if the screen isnt as bright as you would like it when at maximum setting, it cant be turned up lol.

Go for as bright as is within your budget.

Hi Mark, as you know it''s meant to represent the differnce in light intensity btween the darkest black and the brightest white. most of the newer panels are up in the K's. In fact here's some info off the web, sorry tired and it's easier to leach than type!!
