Just got this text off of Ste (totopop) "Some bird wrote me XR2 off this morning, drove into the back of it while i was in bed. grrr" Gutted! he loved that mini beast.

Yeah he text me too lol, he must be well gutted man, I been out with him in it a lot lately and it was a quality little motor, immaculate inside and great little runner, still had the power when he put his foot down a bit. I shall be keeping an eye out on the old ebay and autotrader for him. He waited for months to get ahold of this one, stupid fecking women

hi guys, just on a friends pc at mo, update, I was in bed at 6:45am and just heard a big bang, looked out the window and seen some bird looking at her car and shaking her head with her head in her hands, as my car was the only car parked on the road at the time i thought "oh shit" went outside and to my horror it was confirmed, she had smashed into the back of my parked car after "adjusting her mirror"! She shunted my car about 3 feet forward and it had a good handbrake, so she must of been going some speed! Her car looked worse than mine, totaled front n/s damage! Birds eh! pierce panels have my car, the axles bent, both back wheels are bent inwards, bumber, light, reflector, quarter panel and floor smashed, no way insurance will pay for repair Waiting for an independant accessor to view the car and give me a price on how much i will be getting for it. Until then i have a peugeot 307 hire car to run round in. Pickertons accident management are dealing with it all and are gonna get me the best price possible. I have an invoice saying i paid £2700 for the car 3 weeks ago from a local garage. I`ll let you know how i get on

So she was fixing her lippy in other words
and hit your car as she was driving along the road
is that pretty much the top and bottom of it Totopop ?
If so, she should be done for careless driving.
If not then its an accident.
Again gutted for you,
at least you have some nice pictures of it before the bump.

i would`nt mind another capri lee, lol, dont tempt me Gonna buy the XR2 back, throw a new axle and suspension on it and get it mint again Pierce panels says he can fix it no problemo, so i1ll be doing the mechanics part of things. Nice! low suspension, adjustable shocks, ss exhaust, 4 branch, disc brakes all round methinks Just a thought for now, not sure wether to keep it original or not
