hate pricks like this.... tho as with all situations (i dont drive btw) u will learn from ur mistakes ... by this i mean getting the crucial details, not u causin the mistake as it dont sound like u were at fault... saying that tho, i wasn't there... 2 people can be at fault and both think they were doing the right thing. hope u manage to get it sorted at minimal cost at least... if anything like this happens again u will be aware to take pics and full details (number plate and surname at least) again tease i watch too much tv i think

the infalated prices come from the insurance quote book. Ive been told in the past that if joe blogs comes in for say a new door, and the job could be say done for £100 all day long, the insurance quote book can say £200 for the same job, and thats why it can be inflated, not by choice. And a insurance company can insist you go to one of there listed reps.

Not too say he's not going to look for the most expensive,
as we all would if we belived it wasnt our fault.

I hope that makes sense??

All's not what it seems all the time i'm saying.

Well I suppose dependent upon how much your mate rekon's it will cost to repair, it may work out cheaper for you to settle it outside of the insurance system rather then affecting your NCB.

But it's all dependent on how much it costs of course and if they believe you are actually at fault (if its 50/50 it may still work out cheaper, if it can be proven he was at fault then you have nothing to worry about).

smile
