Police now say two separate explosive devices have been found in cars parked in London's West End.
The first bomb, made of 60 litres of petrol, gas cylinders and nails, was found in a Mercedes outside a nightclub in Haymarket at 0130 BST.

Police say the second device was found in a Mercedes in a Park Lane car park after it had been towed away from Cockspur Street, near Trafalgar Square.

Both devices were "viable" and "clearly linked", police said.

At a news conference on Friday evening, Deputy Assistant Commissioner Peter Clarke, head of Scotland Yard's counter-terrorism command, said the discovery of the second device was "obviously troubling".

How many times have I heard that before raftl

People in this country shit themselves off the slightest things and exaggerate them beyond belief.

This will be the biggest thing for you and 99% of the country to worry about and then in a few days, nobody will remember this even happened, so get over it lol. The IRA were the only consistent threat to mainland UK and even they were once in a blue moon.

I find those comments sick.

Personally I'm not worried for my self,
but when i have friends and family that go to London / Live,
and remembering previous attacks which caused death and destruction can not in this day and age be ignored.

You find that people who worry,
have someone to care about that could be in danger.

Lol, you would think this country would learn, but people have too little going on in their lives and find things like this really good.

This country isnt going to be attacked week in week out, the same as America isnt, the same as the mainland wasnt when the IRA were in full swing and the battle for NI was going on.

At the end of the day, its a one off finding, people die sometimes when bombs go off, its fact, its something that happens, life is shit, but its even worse if we spend all day and night worrying about our own lives/those of our loved ones, just be happy to be alive and embrace life.

If you walk out and get bombed, you cant do anything about it... you have 100,000x more chance of you/a loved one being hit by a bus or being in a car crash then a terrorist attack to put it in perspective.

I dont see you worrying or making a big deal about that though.

Besides, this country has asked for everything it gets, if we think there isnt going to be any sort of retaliation as a result of our own terroristesque and bullying acts in the middle east.

Expect the odd bomb from time to time, we deserve it in some ways.

wink

Innocent civilians don't

It's civilians bombing innocent civilians.
The working class fighting the working class for the rich - no matter what be it: over oil, money, land and power

Its alright for our armed forces to kill thoudands of innocent Iraqui and Afghan civillians though??

Im afraid that argument that civillians killing civllians doesnt wash with me.

We should expect to and deserve to live in "fear", we didnt have to jump into bed with the yanks, we chose to.

like I said..

The working class fighting the working class for the rich

Armed forces = the working class controlled by the monarchy - fighting for queen and country.
I bet 98% of those who are in the armed forces didn't join to kill innocent civillians? I bet they joined for the money, to have a job, a life other than poverty stricken areas that they live in the U.K?

I certainly didnt want this country to go to war in Iraq or Afganistan let alone back up the yanks in the process.

So does that mean it's ok for me to get bombed? because "we" chose to "jump into bed with the yanks"?

Of course we should expect to live in fear, but we shouldn't have to. Noone should.

We voted Labour... sorry Blair in.

Whether we actually personally voted for Blair or not, the country as a majority did, and he is the sole reason imho we backed up the US so stupidly.

So yeah, we do deserve it. I voted tory at the last general election and am against the war, but if i were to get bombed tomorrow, I still deserve it because I am living in Britain.

Plenty of them innocent civillians didnt deserve it, or want any part, they certainly didnt "vote" the likes of Saddam in, they didnt have much choice, but we use the fact he was in power as an excuse to kill and wound tens of thousands of innocent civillians and decimate their towns and villages.

The odd bomb every now and again in London is a far cry and pales into insignificance when we compare it with what we did to Iraq with our ruthless "shock and awe" bombing campaign.

piss off and go find some pants to sniff if you have nothing of any use to say in this thread and cant discuss it, keep ya nose out.

Me and Joe are discussing this topic and its related aspects, you should try it sometime instead of just throwing in stupid remarks and comments and repeating yourself multiple times becuase you dont have a clue about the actual subject in hand.
