Well, it's late and I'm tired, but just warning you - BE AWARE OF YOUR CLUTCH! They are evil!

I couldn't believe it when Adam dropped me off this evening his car seemed the same as always.
I get in the house, about to go upstairs and he rings me "Vic, somethings wrong with the car." no He lifted his bonnet and there it was - his clutch cable had snapped.

I can't believe you can't check for clutch wear/damage? Can you? omg

A GREAT BIG THANKS TO MEESH FOR TAKING HIM HOME

A Clutch cable would typically cost approx £30 - £40 to be replaced by a garage, however its not too difficult to replace yourself, just a little tricky to get it on the clutch pedal doh

Yeah, you can check the correct 'tension' by looking at the clutch lever, which is connected to the cable next to the transmission. Unhook the cable (removing the clip if present) and check the Haybe manual for the length that should be protuding (the thread) and screw the block on the thread so that the length on the end is to the correct measurment. You'll know what I mean if you have a look. wink

Most fords dont have a thread to adjust the cable as they opperate on a self-adjusting method like allot of other cars do nowadays.

Hope this helps ??

Shame, it really is only a 10 minute job and would only cost you about £15.00

Could of given you a tow as well.

Good luck anyways.

It is drivable, so long as you have a good starter motor tease

I towed the jeep with my dads Trooper, and no clutch, back to Neston from Leeds. That was fun

If you can get to the rock later then I'll show you how to do it if you want, then you can get it to scooby's to get it fixed smile
