Derek, i am curious about the 'shields' on the map above, do you know what they represent.... < schools > They are the heraldic shields of families who lived locally.

I’m very interested to know what the evidence is for Woodchurch being dedicated to St Peter? I’ve heard it before but don’t know what the proof is.

Many thanks Chris This from an article that has been deleted from the internet so I can't find anymore about the source..... It is generally thought that the original church was dedicated to a Celtic Saint, but an old deed discovered some time before 1950 showed the church had been dedicated to St Peter in the 13th century
