Some schools in the Tranmere area, records held at Wirral Archives. Higher Tranmere High School for Girls Primitive Methodist Day School, Tranmere St Andrew’s Presbyterian Schools, Tranmere St Catherine’s School, Tranmere St Luke’s School, Tranmere St Paul’s School, Tranmere Well Lane School, Tranmere
Also Mersey Park would be within walking distance.

I think the original post was about 121 Poulton Road WALLASEY
If so the school opposite was Somerville Primary and still has a similar name.
I lived in Annesley Road 1943 - 65.
I don't remember a butchers but the Queens Cinema was a bit further down towards Seacombe.
