MP's are going to get a 4.1% pay rise

Public Sector Workers are going to have a pay freeze

Consumer Price Index 0.7%

Consumer Price Index (inc Housing) 0.9%

Retail Price Index 1.3%

Gift to MPs for working at home - an additional £10,000

So where is the justification for the MP's pay rise? When are the public going to realise that the majority of MPs are nothing but thieves?

Public Sector have already got an above average pay rise for this year, haven't they ? .

https://inews.co.uk/news/uk/public-...eachers-doctors-police-nhs-nurses-558481

Who is getting a pay rise?

School teachers, doctors, dentists, police officers, members of the Armed Forces, senior military, prison officers, senior civil servants, judiciary and National Crime Agency workers will all see their pay increased above inflation.

Nurses were not included because they negotiated a three-year deal for better pay in 2018.

None of those groups are getting a 4.1% pay rise and most notably you will notice that no lower paid workers are listed.

Those paid under £25K are getting a £250 pay rise but also don't forget in the previous ten years most of them have had either pay freezes or capped rises of 1% for over half that time (7 years?).

Median UK wage is about £31.5K, mean UK wage is about £37.5K

Minimum wage is £18.2K

I don't think MPs should get a pay rise nor anybody that's over a certain level.
Everybody should be thankful they in a job and for the hard time that's coming be prepared to forego a rise but I do think the banks and building society's , mortgage people etc should be made to keep payments low . I deffo in agreement with cutting the overseas aid , we give money to India and China amongst others. India and China have their own space program much more than what we got.
Look after our own first I'm afraid!

My statement still stands, I did not claim "they had given themselves £10,000", I claimed they were gifted £10,000 to work from home, which is near enough true - they are allowed to claim up to £10,000 extra expenses to work from home.
